We begin with a two-hour evening session at an indoor climbing centre. Here, we’ll cover the fundamentals, including belaying, clipping techniques, and an introduction to the equipment we’ll be using over the weekend.

The following two full days will be spent at the crag, putting theory into practice and covering the remaining topics listed above — all while building confidence and, of course, having fun.

Schedule:
📩 Email to book your session or if you have any questions.
This workshop is designed to help you build your confidence and skills in a supervised environment.
We will create as many scenarios as possible, testing each other and working together to explore how we can make them more efficient and safer while practicing new techniques.
We will cover skills such as building anchors using only slings when gear placements are far apart, loading anchors to observe how they react under weight, and improving rope management skills. We will also practice using a guide-mode belay device and discuss its advantages and disadvantages compared to standard belay devices.
All equipment provided
📩 Email to book your session or if you have any questions.
We will take a lunch break at the crag so be sure to remember to bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water.
Some of the places we will be visiting do not have toilets, so using nature as your toilet will be necessary.
I will supply toilet roll, hand sanitiser and a trowel if necessary.
Of course good weather is not guaranteed in the UK. But we will try and pick a crag which is suitable for the weather and a back up if necessary, so please be aware that the venue may change at short notice but this will be communicated. If we have to cancel due to the weather, we will reschedule for another time.
If you do need to cancel a booking please let me know as soon as possible.
There will be no cancellation fee if you cancel up to 2 weeks before the trip.
If the cancellation is between 1 and 2 weeks before the trip, there will a cancellation fee of 75% of the booking fee.
